Deeply grounded by her personal beliefs and a lifelong connection to the American ranch lifestyle, she blends a powerful Western spirit with structural impulses gathered from her European heritage. Her creative drive is constantly progressive, focused on a singular, fierce commitment: abstracting the true, vibrating life from the world around her. 

Her signature townscapes are jumbled, kaleidoscopic compositions that completely shake up the picturesque architecture of Crested Butte, Colorado. Between capturing the local landscape, Bren travels to historic cities across the globe, tackles intense, multi-layered custom commissions, and visually documents current events with a bold, contemporary edge. Deeply inspired by street-art expressionism and the urgent line work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, her style is a constantly evolving testament to knowing when to push boundaries—and exactly when to let a canvas breathe. 

Bren has called the Gunnison Valley home for over three decades, raising her children and welcoming a new generation of grandchildren right here in the high country.
